FAQ

. What is iNode?

iNode is a platform designed to simplify the deployment, management, and leasing of Ethereum nodes. It allows users to deploy nodes in seconds, manage them through a decentralized governance system, and participate in the iNode Marketplace to rent or lease node infrastructure.

2. Who can use iNode?

iNode is designed for a variety of users, including:

  • Developers: Who need fast and easy access to Ethereum nodes for development, testing, or production.

  • DAOs: Who want to govern node access through smart contracts and provide decentralized node resources.

  • Enterprises: Looking for secure, scalable infrastructure without the overhead of DevOps management.

  • Node Operators: Who want to monetize their unused infrastructure by renting out their Ethereum nodes in the marketplace.

3. How do I deploy an Ethereum node with iNode?

Deploying an Ethereum node with iNode is as simple as a single click. Just follow these steps:

  1. Sign in to the iNode platform using your Web3 wallet (MetaMask, WalletConnect).

  2. Select the network (Ethereum Mainnet, Goerli, Sepolia) and node type (Full Node, Archive Node, etc.).

  3. Click Deploy, and the node will be set up and ready to use within seconds.

4. What is the iNode Marketplace?

The iNode Marketplace is a decentralized platform where node operators can list their unused Ethereum nodes for rent, and users can lease these nodes for various purposes. Transactions are managed via smart contracts, and payments are handled securely through crypto wallets.

5. How can I make money as a node operator?

Node operators can list their available nodes on the iNode Marketplace. You can specify the type of node, pricing (e.g., pay-per-hour or monthly), and other relevant details. Once a user rents your node, you earn payments directly in ETH or stablecoins. Your income is dependent on node usage, uptime, and reputation.

6. How does the reputation system work for node operators?

Each time a user rents your node, they can leave a review and rate your node based on factors like performance, uptime, and support. Higher ratings and good feedback increase your visibility in the marketplace, leading to more rental opportunities. Poor reviews or low uptime could decrease your reputation.

7. What payment methods are accepted on iNode?

The iNode platform accepts payments through crypto wallets such as MetaMask or WalletConnect. You can pay for node rentals using ETH or stablecoins like USDC or DAI. All transactions are processed through smart contracts, ensuring security and transparency.

8. Can I lease nodes for a specific duration or usage?

Yes! Node operators can set flexible leasing terms based on time (e.g., hourly, daily, or monthly leases) or resource usage (e.g., bandwidth, storage). The leasing terms are fully customizable and enforced via smart contracts.

9. What types of nodes can I deploy on iNode?

iNode supports a variety of Ethereum node types, including:

  • Full Nodes: Full Ethereum nodes that maintain a complete copy of the blockchain.

  • Archive Nodes: Nodes that store historical Ethereum blockchain data, used for data querying.

  • Light Nodes: Lightweight nodes that don’t store the entire blockchain but rely on full nodes for data.

You can deploy nodes on different Ethereum networks, including Mainnet, Goerli, and Sepolia (testnets).

10. How do I monitor my Ethereum node's performance?

iNode offers a real-time monitoring dashboard that provides important metrics such as:

  • Node uptime and availability

  • Resource usage (CPU, RAM, bandwidth)

  • Network latency and performance

  • Active connections and transactions

This allows you to track the health of your deployed nodes and take action if any issues arise.

11. Can I scale my Ethereum node infrastructure?

Yes, iNode supports auto-scaling of Ethereum nodes in the cloud. If your node experiences higher-than-usual demand, iNode automatically scales your infrastructure to maintain optimal performance and availability, ensuring that your application or service remains uninterrupted.

12. What is the DAO-Based Governance for iNode?

In the future, iNode will transition to DAO (Decentralized Autonomous Organization)-based governance, allowing node operators, users, and the broader community to vote on important platform decisions. These decisions may include features, fees, node access policies, and other critical aspects of the iNode platform.

13. Can I use iNode to deploy nodes for Layer 2 solutions like Arbitrum or Optimism?

Currently, iNode supports Ethereum and its testnets (Goerli, Sepolia). However, in the future, we plan to support Layer 2 solutions like zkEVM, Arbitrum, and Optimism, allowing users to deploy nodes for these scaling solutions as well.

14. How secure is iNode?

iNode uses industry-standard security practices to ensure the safety of both users and node operators. All transactions, including payments and node leases, are secured through smart contracts deployed on the Ethereum blockchain. Additionally, iNode provides cloud-based backup solutions and ensures that all data stored on the platform is encrypted and protected.

15. Is there customer support available if I encounter issues?

Yes, iNode provides customer support to assist with any issues related to node deployment, leasing, or marketplace transactions. You can reach out to our support team through the Help Center on the platform, or directly via email or chat.

16. How can I get started with iNode?

Getting started with iNode is easy:

  1. Sign up on the iNode platform with your Web3 wallet (e.g., MetaMask).

  2. Select the network and node type you want to deploy.

  3. Start interacting with the marketplace by renting or listing nodes.

For detailed instructions, check out the Getting Started Guide available on our platform.

17. Will iNode be supporting other blockchain networks in the future?

Yes! iNode plans to expand to support more blockchain networks beyond Ethereum. Future updates will include support for Layer 2 solutions, zkEVM, and other major blockchain networks, making iNode a multi-chain platform for decentralized infrastructure.
